I can't beileve it is the end of September, time has flown by this year. I was very busy this summer with weddings which has been brilliant. I've already started booking people in for the winter season and next year.

Springtime at Repose Beauty

In my last blog I couldn't believe it was March and here I am again and somehow its now April. Time is really flying at the moment.
I have just launched my new updated website www.reposebeauty.co.uk my aunt did a brilliant job on my mini website I have had for the last year but I felt it was time for a change and I hope you like it. It now matches my leaflets and business cards.
I have been kept busy recently as I have taken part in the Nestle Aero Bubbles pamper gift voucher promotion. Aero Bubble Easter eggs this year contained one voucher for a taster treatment, I wasnt sure how it would go but I have been over whelmed with people wanting treatments. If you have one, get in touch.
Other than that I have a few weddings to do in May which I'm really excited about, I love doing bridal make up, it's lovely being part of someone's very special day.

March already!!!!?

I cant believe it is March already, the time is just flying by at the moment it's crazy. It's Mother's day today and the family are going out for a meal which should be nice.
On the business front things are going well, I am getting a new website which I'm very excited about. And I think I'm going to be doing a few days a week at another centre soon, updates on this shortly.
It's coming into Spring now and we all need to look at our diets and health issues, the worst thing in the world is being ill when the summer is shining.

Pinch, Punch first of the Month

Thought since it was now the first day of February I would update my blog. I'm not sure if anyone is reading it but its fun to do anyway.

I'm so glad January is over, I cant stand that month its so dark, cold and boring. Christmas has passed and the summer seems a life time away.

So I've been trying to keep myself busy with business stuff.

Miss Business Woman

Finally I feel like a business woman, I've been self-employed for nearly 3 years now but never have I really felt totally in charge. I started Repose Beauty when I was 20, my friends were amazed as it was a pretty big step but I felt it was the right thing to do....it wasn't.
I was too young, I wasn't confident enough in myself to do it, so I went back to college and into part time employment. I still kept my business on the side but didn't do a lot with it.
2008 is to be the year of my business, even last year I wasn't totally committed and really pushing every opportunity. Now I am!!!!
And since I started fully focusing on it offers and opportunities have been flying in, I feel confident that I'm in control and this is really what I want to do in my life.
Only a short post today, but it's made me smile...at 23 I'm ready to conquer the world! :)

Happy New Year

I love the beginning of a new year it brings with it hope of fresh starts and brighter days. Unfortunately it begins in Winter so we are faced with cold, dark days which don't fill the soul with a get up and go attitude, more a snuggle in bed and watch TV attitude.

So what are we to do about it?

Well I've decided to join a gym...yes like the millions of others across the country but I am determined to get fitness and healthy this year.

Being a beauty therapist means when I'm busy I'm on my feet a lot doing massages or waxing which is actually tougher than you think.

I was lucky yesterday to have a wonderful facial by my friend Michelle, it was so nice to be pampered for a change, it's a amazing what a facial do. Lots of people think relaxing is watching a movie or reading a book, yes it is but you're not giving your brain a rest. It's busy working away, to be truly relaxed you should set a side an hour of nothingness, be it a facial, a massage or more simply lying in a quiet room listening to relaxing music or nothing at all.

Try it, you will feel refreshed and be able to think clearer.

So maybe that should be my resolution...step back from the world and relax more, we could all benefit from that.

This is the first I hope of many blogs I will be doing, so what's it going to be about. Well me...my life and my business.

I'm 23 and live in the lovely town of Newbury in Berkshire where I run my beauty business. I work in the Wellbeing Centre which is an all round amazing place full of warmth and hope.

My main passion in beauty is Make Up, although I don't wear alot myself, it really interests me how other people wear it and the images that can be created with it.

As well as make up, I'm a qualified beauty therapist I love my job it's brilliant when you can feel someone feel good inside by looking after the outside.
